Marie Winn is really interesting women. She thinks that TV is really bad thing and kills activities with family or friends. I think she exaggerates a little because if you get fun watching TV you should do it. I think she could really be in love with George Bush. She is old minded. In my opinion if i get fun watching TV i will continue to watch it and we can watch TV as a family too..

1. Reality TV

The power of the media is not just as it was before. It has changed a lot in last 10-15 years. And with this power the money people earn by media has increased. So men who own the media try to attract viewers attention to gain more money. And viewers like to watch reality shows more than other programs. They like to see other peoples lives and comment about their lives. So media bosses started to put reality shows on tv to have top ratings. But they started to put on nonsense shows; of course this is my opinion there are lots of people who love these programs and watch it. Especially on the noon time there are marriage programs that people who were not able to get married in their normal lives attend to these programs and try to get married with someone who they just met in the program. Some of the Turkish ladies love to watch these kinds of programs. I think they like to watch these because they stay home for all day and have nothing to do so rather than just sitting at home and getting bored they watch these types of programs. I think another reason for the viewers to watch reality shows is they empathize. But for me reality shows doesn't make someone to gain any helpful or useful idea and watching it is just a waste of time. Even if you watch them at least you should watch them just for fun and for short periods.
